outlook express problem

Hi I have messages that wont delete from my inbox in outlook express. I have tried to find the inbox.dbx folder on my system (even the hidden files) to delete it but it is eluding me. I get to C:\Documents and Settings\MyUser\Application Data\Identities\ and then the numbered file but when I click on this it is blank. The problems seems to have started when I got an error message on Cactus spam. I uninstalled the program but the outlook express problem is still there. Any suggestions?

    Managed to eventually find the Inbox.dbx file but although I've cleared the inbox I still cannot delete some of the new emails coming in. Any ideas?
