I am building a pc for a family and was just wondering on what i can improve on my list.

currently i have:

17" - Iiyama TFT E431S-S monitor - £351

Twinmos 512MB (2x256MB)DDR PC3200 Dual Channel Kit - £56.40

Maxtor DiamondMax +9 120GB 7200RPM 8MB - £69.32

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 'Barton Core' (333Mhz FSB) - £65.80

Abit NF7-S v2.0 nForce2 - £75.79

LiteOn 52x32x52x CDRW - £30.55

LiteON 16x DVD-ROM - £26.44

Coolermaster HHC-L61 Socket A /FCPGA Cooler - £29.38

Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB DDR TV-Out - £129.25

FSP Aurora 350w PSU FSP350-60PN - £45.82

what do you people think so far? any suggestions for different better parts. This pc will be used for a bit fo gaming, surfing etc... thanks

    Decent, would go to an SLK-900A cooler, and Ceramique or AS5 HS gunk, though, right in design.

    Looks nice. Good speed without blowing the budget.
    A better cooler and extra fans will keep anyone from calling you later.

    i have some AS3 here, i did think about getting a better fan and also putting more fans in the case, but noise is quite a big issue with these people which is why i went with the coolermaster. Can you reccomend any silent fans for the SLK-900? thanks

    I would recommend a 17 or 19" CRT and use the saved money for better parts, that is unless they are set on a TFT. Quote from my parents;
    "So, can you get us a TFT?"
    "Yeah, for about £350"
    Then the convosation kind of stopped.
    Side note: The coolermaster controlable "dream" HSF units are loud even on their lowest setting.
