Hi guys, Happy New Year!

Anybody know if the an ASUS P4C800-E will be able to handle a Prescott?

Got the board for my new machine, been waiting to see whats gonna happen with compatability issues.

Thanks,

RADA

Acording to an article I've seen, all the ASUS 875 based boards will accept and support Prescott.

Actually, Asus has announced Prescott support for legacy boards, including this one, on their mobo web page

Yes, but what you might need is a beefier PSU.

PC Power & Cooling 510 should be enough

No motherboard on an Intel chipset out this very minute is guaranteed to be compatible.

It's a tossup. You could buy two boards made three months apart, and the first one could work, but not the second one. You could buy two of the newest canterwood boards out there, and it still wouldn't be guaranteed.
