    Seems similar to the fake Spy update. Which I'm really disappointed valve didn't capitalize on some of those.

    Does seem like it could be part of an Engie update, though.

    You know, I got thinking about this. I'd LOVE to play as a canine, but I realized it couldn't possibly carry that incredible level of character that the rest of the TF2 classes display.

    TF2 characters are top notch because they all have personality. They yell things during combat, and when they do, you know which class is talking based on how they talk. A canine could never be presented in such a fashion.

    What are you talking about? If I heard a dog "talk" in battle, I'd sure as hell be able to pick out "yiff yiff yap yap growl" from "ENTIRE TEAM IS BABIES."

    Perhaps this is in keeping with TF2's slow transition to a FPS-RPG hybrid... all classes will get a familiar in the next round of class upgrades.
