Gamers in North Texas
Not everyone realizes where I live from my profile, you almost have to be from the area to understand the shorthand. But, I life in the DFW area and have seen 4 LAN businesses go under while I was in high school. After that people seemed to get the idea it was not a good idea to attempt a 5th in the area. So as I was milling about in Hardforums, I know....I KNOW, I ran across this http://peaceloveandrockets.org/ . The place has apparently been running LANs for awhile and seem to be doing alright at it, granted I haven't been down there.
But I am just posting this so everyone is made aware that might be in the area. Also, like I stated with QuakeCon since I live in the area I would be willing to help out some people if I am headed to one of their LANs when another IC member is. The next LAN is Saturday 10/31/09, which currently I am 50% sure I can make it. So here is for IC repin at events in Texas, PM or post here to get hold of me. I will update if I am going or not, 10$ for food and shens why not??!!
