Found out that the MSI GT729 won't be introduced in the U.S and the EU has already gotten theirs. So I've cancelled the order. I'm told that MSI & Asus is going to be introducing new notebooks with I7 cpus.
Not really fair. mumble grumble!
anyway I was looking at Newegg for alternates. this is what I came up with in the $1300 range with cpu 8700 or higher.
asus N70 17"

sony had a 17" & 18" at those prices, guess someone brought 'em up.
