i picked up a 4-pack on steam and divvy'd it up amongst friends. however, i have yet to decided which character/talent trees i'd like to play. i'm thinking of going roland because it can be played like the combination of a medic and engy in tf2.

anyone picking up borderlands?

I was considering it but my gaming budget is tight and going towards Dragon Age. Plus I also just got the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 so my Mad Max requirements are met with aplomb.

I am very seriously considering Borderlands. Procedural content with a Diablo style RPG/FPS hybrid? Certainly holds my interest.

Haven't put much thought into characters yet though.

Holy moly that game looks awesome. I never gave it a second glance until this thread.

This, Dragon Age, and L4D2 are the three games I'm most interested in this season.

Not sure about the states but in Canada Borderlands is on sale as of launch at most major retailers for $40. I wasn't originally going to buy the game but at that price I just may.

I'm really looking forward to co-op with some friends in Borderlands. I wish I could play now but of course there's the pointless 6 day delay for PC gamers.

Anybody interested in going in on a 4-pack?

This looks interesting, but my experience with Hellgate: London has taught me to be a little bit skeptical of FPS / RPG hybrids. Remains to be seen whether I'll want it or not.

Am I the only person that actually liked Hellgate: London?

This game has definitely piqued my interest. Need to look into it more.

i played the xbox version over the weekend (only for a little while not to spoil the MP experience) and i'm pretty damn anxious to play it on PC. a lot of people have complained about buggy AI and a lot of running around involved, but that can be fixed with patches and im sure the future DLC/expansions will have shortened travel time. i just hope gearbox is ready to update and extend this product instead of dropping everything and working on the sequel.

My roommate picked it up last night on PS3, and it looks pretty sweet. I wouldn't be able to do it justice on my computer without an upgrade, so I'll probably be playing it on the console for awihle.

Does anyone else have it on PS3?

Borderlands does implement an instant travel system later on in the game.

Yeah, Lynx and I Hellgate-ed it up, and it seems we came to the same conclusion. Basically we had a lot of fun playing it, but only because we played it together, otherwise it wasn't the best of games.

Demons in London! MAN that was a fun time! Grimnoc and I frigging dominated with our two character setup.

Cyclonite - any details on the four pack? What's the pricing?

    Prime: (lol PS3)

The four pack on Steam is $135, just like L4D2.

^ Identical cost to L4D2. So about $33.75 a person.

I just did this very thing. Does paypal deduct a fee from all transfers? Mine showed the guy sent 33.75 but I only got something like 32.12

Myself and Cannonfodder are also looking to purchase a 4-pack. We need two other people! If someone in the Cyclonite/Lynx/Grimnoc triad changes their mind, let us know.

Otherwise, who wants in? I'd like to have this preloaded before I get back from MS&T...

I think if you send from linked bank account, and not a credit card, it doesn't deduct a fee.
