How to mirror drives on Vista Home Premium
This is such a simple question, I'll apologize in advance for asking it on this forum. The problem is, I have a hard time distinguishing between the various forms of raid that I don't know which is which on what operating system.
I am currently running Vista Home Premium and I want to add a second drive, mirroring the original. I know enough to know that this will not increase my storage and it's not a backup per se. On our Windows 2003 server at work, we click on "make dynamic" and then "mirror" and it mirrors.
I don't have or want a raid controller. If someone knowledgeable could say how to do this on my current OS, or what versions of Vista or Windows 7 would allow this, I would appreciate it so much!
