Windows-7 on an HP dv9000t laptop
Does anybody know if Windows-7 will run on a dv9000t?
FWIW, mine was shipped with XP and a few months later I received HP's version of Vista, which I installed right away. Within a few weeks I reverted to XP and have been running it that way ever since.
I have ordered Win-7 Ultimate for my home-built desktop, and would like to know if there are any pitfalls or caveats associated with it for the dv9000t
TIA

I tested Windows 7 on it a while ago. It runs much better with windows 7, than it does with vista
One more question:
I have Win-7 Ultimate. From what I have read, the hard disk will be formatted and then Win-7 will install.
Are there any problems with installing specific HP dv9000t drivers?
I am hoping that the Win-7 install will cover those details - but I want to be prepared - just in case. I have little use for most of HP's "goodies", so they are of no concern. I have been building my own systems since the mid-1980's and have little tolerance for manufacturer-specific app's and gotcha's.
Thanks in advance
Curt
