Ok,I messed up

I have made the attempt to flash the BIOS in my Asus A7N8X Deluxe...and failed!
I downloaded the latest BIOS, and the AWDFLASH.exe.
Booted to DOS, ran the flash, saved the old BIOS, started loading the new BIOS. Rebooted once (it's suppose to), all of a sudden, get a warning, of some type of error (don't remember the exact words, I was in shock), then says can't find source file-reinsert disc, hit enter. Which I do. Now, it just sit, with "Source file not found" showing. I can hear the floppy turning, but no action.
Am I SOL, or can this be saved?
Thanks;
Dragstk

    You can get a new BIOS chip, preflashed, here

    Are you still in the DOS prompt or have you restarted?

    If you are still in DOS I guess you could try to remake the floppy and try again.

    Any chance that you have a disk with the last flash on it? If you're lucky, like I was once, you could try flashing back to the previous BIOS.

    I let the floppy(with the original and the new BIOS turn for almost 10 min. nothing. So, I shut down, and put in the DOS floppy, hoping to be able to re run the flash. No go, It now asks for the system disc. I have no susytem disc(Im assuming by system disc, they mean restore disc?) No matter if I try to put in the flash program or any BIOS, the floppy just sits and spins with "Source file not found showing". So, I can't make another floppy, can't get that far.
    So, does this mean new chip time?
    Thank you for your help

    Have you tried shuting down the machine and resetting the CMOS?
    If not you might try that, I might even go so far as to unplug the machine completely from the power, then remove the CMOS battery, and also put the CMOS jumper in the clear position. Wait for a while then put everything back and try that.

    Couple of things...

    1. Did you clear the cmos after the flash?
    2. Does it post?
    3. Are you booting from sata
    4. If you are booting from sata, flash back to previous bios.

    No, I have not tried resetting the CMOS, but will now.
    It does make a post beep, followed by another lower tone beep, then asks for system disc. There ends the progress.
    No, I am not booting from SATA, I don't have any devices for that.
    Thanks for the advice;

    OK, reset CMOS, which turns on the post reporter. On reboot, it says system failed memory test. I'm not sure where that came from. I'm trying to get ahold of Asus, see if they have any ideas

    Do you have multiple sticks of RAM in the board, so you can test to see if one is fubared? Or maybe another to try in the board?

    Since you get post boot it might still be alive. Most mobo need to have cmos cleared before you boot into new bios.
    Play with memory. use just one stick, try it in each slot. Clear the bios each time you swap so that it doesn't 'remember' the problem.

    Sorry for the delay in replying. Computer was down for a few days, and a good friend passed away, my mind was elseware.
    As for my memory...computer, that is. I installed the memory in another computer, ran memtest, no errors, ran good. (I have 2 sticks of Corsair XMS 2700, 512 each)
    Tried the CMOS clear, with different memory stick combos, no go. I think I'll follow Shwaip's lead and see about another chip.
    Thank you all, for your ideas and help.
