Windows 7 logo certification - anyone tried

edited October 2009 in Science & Tech
Hi!

I'm wondering - does anyone have passed this procedure? Because I've got some questions regarding it - so maybe you can help me.
So here is the problem.
I've tried to pass this test with my application, but on the step 4 when it generates and shows the report for item #5 (version check during installation and runtime) toolkit says me that installation - PASS, but runtime - IN_PROGRESS. What does it mean? Generally when I'm continuing with wizard toolkit shows me some strange page saying like "Application complies with #5… – I agree / I doesn’t agree" - when I'm pressing "I agree" the report (xml file) is updated and as the result I can see the all tests are passed. But I'm not sure - is it a valid workflow? Will my app will pass if I'll send it to MS for testing and they'll get something similar?
Does anyone expirienced anything like this?

You might want to also add this to the thread for Windows FAQ

I'm not certain how to answer this question. I have no developer experience as I am not a programmer. This question is also too specific to land on the Windows 7 FAQ, because it seems to be a code issue.

Hm... probably my question is not about a development or how to eliminate this situation but about other people's experience - so maybe someone has experienced something similar while certifying their companies' apps for Win7? At least I saw an article where MS declares that they have 6000+ apps already certified :) So I hope I'm not alone :)
