Recovery hard drive notifications

Hello, i just recently upgraded from vista to windows 7. one of the problems i had before was that my recovery drive was sending me messages that i was low on space on the drive.

"You are running out of disk space on HP_RECOVERY (D:). Click here to see if you can free space on this drive."

i got notifications for this many many times, and i want to know how i can rid this problem (aka the notifications) or how i can fix my recovery drive. please ask me for more information if it is needed to help me, thanks in advance to everyone who can help me!!

What are you saving on the recovery partition? You had to save something there instead of on C.

Just go move whatever is there (that is yours and not the recovery info) back to C.

If that is not the case and you didn't save anything there. Do you have any version of Norton installed?

Wait, you said you moved to Windows 7.. didn't you delete the recovery partition? That info is no longer valid, it would only be valid for the Vista install, might as well just remove it.

i did delete it, and it still says that there is only 4.5MB left available out of 12GB, so i just blocked notifications.. so at least its not annoying anymore but it still hurts my heart to know that there is still a problem there. but yeah i just use an external harddrive for my recovery now so its all good (Y) thanks anyways mang

Hit the windows key + r. Type diskmgmt.msc and hit enter. Can you post a screenshot of this window?
