:mad:Just installed system. Turned on power. Appears processor is accessing HD but nothing happens. Monitor indicator light comes on for a second, then goes off. All connectors are in the correct places. CPU fan is working and power indicator light is on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Standard troubleshooting approach - disconnect everything from the motherboard except for 1 stick of RAM, the CPU, and the graphics card (if it's a discrete card). If you can get the initial BIOS screen that way, gradually begin plugging things back in and trying again. You should be able to identify what's causing the problem.

Edit - if you're at the above minimum amount of hardware for a POST and it still won't work, try re-seating the remaining RAM module and the graphics card. If it still doesn't work, swap the RAM module for another one if possible, and also try swapping the graphics card for another one if possible.

If the above method still doesn't work. You should remove everything from the case and place the motherboard on a non-conductive surface, assemble the bare minimum and try again. If you are still at an impass, remove the battery from the motherboard for at least an hour. Do something unrelated and relaxing while you wait to give your mind a break and you may also realize something yo did or didn't do.
