    You'll note there that they did at least confirm that the update was sent from his dad's house. Updating from your Droid is unlikely to be an alibi.

    According to the DA's comments mentioned in a Maximum PC article (http://www.maximumpc.com/article/news/facebook_status_update_gets_charges_against_man_dropped) the facebook status is only part of the defense, and I hope so, because it does not take that much tech to fake a post from a remote location without involving another person.

    The DA said that while it was not the only factor in the case, it was a major one.

    I really started worrying about our justice system when OJ was found not guilty.
