I bought a Lenovo T500 with discrete graphics. It arrives at my parents house in a week or so. I hope they let me open it before xmas as I just had to resolder my power jack to the mother board 2 nights ago on my Dell. So far its still alive, but I cant wait to get at my shiny new present!

SO glad to hear you picked a thinkpad. I was too late to throw my experience with Lenovo into the pot, but its been nothing but A+ all the way. Their service is amazing, and athe hardeware excellent.
