Considering you can play pretty much all of their offerings without having to pay a dime, I'm not sure the 'greedy' tag fits them.
I know, but I have played many of their games in the past and they really started to kill the quality of the games, which was very irritating. I never minded prices until it ended up completely changing the games, and experience. However that is my opinion... they upset me because for a while I really felt that they were doing a good job, but it just slowly got bad. Honestly, I really hope they have gotten better/will get better with that and other problems, they were really a nice company.
The virtual economy is the true next economy. It started long before Nexon, though. Linden Labs and Second Life were big pioneers in the 'Real Money for Virtual Stuff' arena.
In unofficial circles, however, just look at the gold farmers in WoW. That's been going on pretty much since the beginning of the game.

Go go gadget capitalism.
