That's pretty slick but how long until more devices hit the market that will support USB3 and SATA6?

I think I've seen one advertised product on the egg last week that claimed USB3 specs but that's about it.

Probably nothing in volume until 2H10.

Nice stuff, but I am going to wait until AMD does a chipset update.

I think the 333 was meant to be USB3 / SATA3 /PCIe3 But since PCIe3 was pushed back to 2H10 I guess marketing filled in the other 3

Nice stuff, but I am going to wait until AMD does a chipset update.

What chipsets might get an update?

If this was an AM2/AM2+/AM3 board with DDR2 I would have been mad that I just upgraded my board. Maybe I'll consider it after I get a 965, But I think I'll hold out for PCIe3.

You're going to be waiting quite a while for a board with PCI Express 3.0. Nobody has the technology on their roadmap for all of 2009 and 2010. You might see PCIe3 boards in 2Q11.

Photodude, AMD has 8xx series chipsets in the pipe. AM3, all about Spring 2010. I'll wait until then to do a motherboard upgrade.

So best to wait a little for some better features.

come spring I will be thinking about the i9 vs considering holding out for the 8-core xeon; rather then anymore upgrades to my AMD platform, I'm thinking I'll pick up a 965 soon and consider that system as reaching the end of it's upgrades. well I might consider one last motherboard upgrade to get USB3, will hold out for the 8xx chipsets

I was under the impression that video card manufactures wouldn't have products with PCIe3 until 4Q10 or 2H11 but that we would likely start seeing mobos in 2H10 about 3-4 months after PCIe3 is finalized and released.

'Fraid not. :( Neither Intel nor AMD has PCIe3 in the cards for 2010 at all.
