Hi everyone. I just bought a new monitor, the 23'' Samsung P2370 (1920*1080). I also bought Win7 Home Premium 64bit but I'm still using the RC 64bit. I'm wondering how to properly install the new monitor? Do I first uninstall my old LCD from Device Manager and then plug in the new one? Do I need to install drivers for the monitor? There are drivers for Win7 on Samsung's site but are those necessary? Any help is appreciated.

Just swap the monitors. You don't need to download anything.

So, just unplug the old, plug in the new? No uninstall necessary in Device Manager etc.?

    Yes.

You should use the dvi cable if your video card supports it.

Thanks, I think (;)) my Radeon 4870 supports it. And the monitor has a DVI-I connection only, that's why its relatively thin.

Yes, your 4870 supports it. It's the white jack.

When you plug in your monitor you may see windows update show an optional download for monitor software. Most of the time this seems pretty unnecessary considering all the adjustments you can do in the graphics driver.
