Imac G3 ppc wont eject CD.

Hello all... newbie and my first post here....i have a Imac G3 ppc computer..ran well..but i swapped the original harddrive for a 60 gig HD....and inserted a Linux Kubuntu for PPC OS install cd into the drive..and it wont install... it comes to the install..press Enter.. and nothing further happens....rebooting changes nothing..further.. the cd will not eject from the original slot load cdrom..... holding down right mouse button or holding down F12 key on bootup :confused2does nothing..cd will not come out...any ideas are surely appreciated.. thanks in advance....
