Warning to owners of Gigabyte + Win7

If you own a Gigabyte motherboard and Windows 7, DO NOT enable the Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced chip. Windows 7's own power saving routines end up in a fight with it, and the result is extremely strange. I just spent an hour trying to track down why my Asus Xonar was producing choppy sound, but only when the system wasn't loaded - it was because the Intersil ROM chip and windows were fighting over the CPU's clock speed.
