HP DV1000 Notebook will not boot

With power on, my HP DV1000 Notebook will not boot. I just get a black/blank screen. This happened after going to Bios setup where I just browsed. I needed to change the start sequence with the DVD Rom first, as I intended to clean the hard drive and reinstall operating system. When in Bios setup, I left it as it was when I entered Bios. I did not apply any changes. When I excited Bios, I was left with a blank/dark screen and powered off with the power switch. When I later turned the laptop, It would not boot up. Please help me if you can.

    Hey dalybob!

    Try removing the battery and disconnecting the AC adapter.
    Press the power button like you were tuning on the laptop.

    Then try it without the battery installed just AC.
    If it comes on put your battery back in and try again.

    I tried as suggested, and still have a computer that will power on, but not boot with or without a boot disk in the dvd rom. The screen see with the power on, which is blank/black is the same screen I saw when I exited Bios.

    Can I access Bios during the power on procedure?

    Try hooking up an external monitor and see if there is any video when you power up.
