I have a problem with Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth. Someone Help?

ok so i've been playing lotr: bfme for quite some while, and i just got this new laptop and added windows 7 on it. I just tried to play some online matches on it, but it kept saying serial number invalid please try another. i already had an account when i got this game, and had had this game for many other computers (home computers, 3 of em) and in the process lost my cd key so i used one given to me another forum, i just want to know is the cd key my problem, or is there a different solution?

Contact EA, let them know you've lost your key and they will give you a new one.
