Problem with full screen streaming video on HD5850

Running an HD5850 on a fresh install of Win7 Pro 64 and any time I do full screen video streaming (youtube, hulu, fancast) the computer locks up. If I am lucky, all that happens is the video driver crashes and the system becomes sluggish, most times though, the system locks up, but audio still plays and I am forced to completely power off the system.

I wasn't having this problem until a last week, but it has gotten to be very frustrating, especially given the small size of Hulu video before full screen.

Ok, off to restart again, managed to only crash the video driver, but the system is slower than a celly 366 running win95.

Difficult problem to approach, methinks. Try uninstalling any and all third party codecs and reinstall a single pack (I personally prefer ffdshow tryouts).

Edit - also make sure your flash player is up to date for your browser.

Everything is up to date, no codecs installed seperately on this system. This is very frustrating.

Which version of the Catalyst package are you running?

Reinstalled the drivers and everything is fine. Seems the hotfix was the culprit.
