This whole thing was just lame once again. Meaningless hype, Ballmer's keynote was leaked ahead of time, and completely underwhelming presentation. Amateur hour start to finish.
I'm convinced that if Apple releases a tablet it will surpass the Courier concept completely and will start a whole new category of devices. I'm highly doubtful that any other company currently has the talent or the mindshare to push such a product to the market, even Microsoft.
I also remain convinced that like 99% chance there will not be a tablet released on the 27th by Apple and that it will be a next-gen iPhone and iPod Touch. I wish we could tell from the leaked photos of the new iPod Touch w/ Camera if it's running a higher resolution screen, that'd make it clear.
