i have an E8400 cpu and an asus P5QL motherboard and i was wondering what is the maxium overclock you can get on a stock cooler?
any ideas

i am on 3.5 now and the max temperature is 53 degrees and at 1.2v

You're well within intel thermal/voltage specs for that chip. You should be safe to push it a bit.
