The information may perhaps be a bit old, but I have seen nothing on Icrontic about the EATR and thought the community might be interested. The EATR or Electronically Autonomous Tactical Robot is a robot capable of deriving energy fron biomass or other organic matter in the field. Effectively the robot will seek out and "eat" plants ( and theoretically ) animals that it finds when its fuel supply begins to dwindle. So much revolutionary technology is developed first for the militery and the EATR is no different. It can be used for recon missions, as a "mule" to carry supplies, to remove casualties from the field, and anything else you might think of. For now it looks like Wall-E, a harmless little service bot working to better the lives of our soldiers but all it takes is one mad programmer and we have an army of monstrous, sharp-toothed kill-bots wandering the streets hungering for human flesh. THE FUTURE IS HERE! I'M EXCITED!
