Your thoughts on AC Ryan

Well it's the company i'm refering to. Their homepage is http://www.acryan.com/index.htm. I've been thinking about ordering some of their stuff so now i want to know what you think of their products and of them in general. Would i make a mistake ordering from them or is it ok. Since they make hardware i posted in the hardware discussion.

The thing i've been thinking about ordering first is this lighted usb cable. It looks really cool. I've also been thinking about their cases but been unable to find pics showing all hardware in them. The only pictures on the site shows them empty.

    Well i'll be ordering that usbcable today so if anyone has anything to say about them please do so now. Also think that it would look really cool to wc thier cases but i'm not sure if my stuff will fit. Any ideas?

    There is nothing about them on resellerratings.

    Is that good or bad. Might be bad since that means that not many have heard of them. Perhaps i shouldn't buy their stuff then.

    Most likely its a pretty new site. I have never heard of them.

    I have taken a chance by ordering fans from mpja.com before like this; they also weren't rated at resellerratings either. Everything went well with that transaction and I got them listed on resellerratings and they are now listed there. You can also get these folks listed at resellerratings too after you do the transaction.

    I would suggest that you do a fairly small order first like you are doing to minimize your risks.

    In that case starting out with just a cable seems like a good idea and that's all i need right now. To bad it's not more known because i'm seriously considering their clear cases for my next rig. It would look so cool if wc:ed.

    Anyway by thursday i should have the cable along with a samsung ML-1750 laser printer so by then i'll know if it works. If it does i'll consider writing something about them @ resellerratings. if it doesn't work at least i still have a parrallell cable for my current printer so i can still use the printer. I do think though that i'll have no problems what so ever. I'm just nervous since so few seems to have heard about them and finding review is almost impossible.

    Did a search in these forums yesterday for Ac Ryan. There were 2 hits. One review of Ac Ryans El sata cable and then this thread so not much has been said about them.

    Can everyone that has had any experiense whatsoever with this company please let us know about it. Good or bad doesn't matter. Their products are aimed mostly at modders and there are several here so someone must have used their products.

    does it have a secure way of transferring ur cc card? thats should be the first thing u look for in a site...

    Well i didn't buy from them directly. It can't be done. I bought from komplett.se. I also noted that though they seem to be a new company there is no history or even an adress about them. Companys usually have such info on their sites but ac ryan doesn't so it's hard to know when they started doing buisiness.

    As for payment i'm paying on delivery. I'm not sure what the correct enlish term for it is.
    The prises BTW are:
    Printer 2220 sek ($304.94)
    usbcable 93 sek ($12.78)
    total cost including shipment 2513 sek ($345.24)

    Not bad at all really since i don't print much so it will be a good investment.
    About komplett they have sales in several countries and i've heard enverex mention them so i'm not afraid to order from them.

    My order had the status sent which prolly means it's been shipped to the delivery service. The reason i said thursday is because my mom has a day of on thursday so i should be able to pick it up then if it's arrived. I'm not about to haul a large printer on a bus across town and i don't have a car or licens.

    Ok it's arrived and been installed. So far 3 pictures and one test sheet has been printed with no problem whatsoever. As for the cable it appers to be doing it's job but i thought that the entire cable would light up. It doesn't. :sad2: Only the ends do but when they do light up they really light up.

    If i was talking about peaple would i then post in this forum? :) Well it seems very few has. Hopefully that will change since their products seem fine.
