Machine lock up and garbled display, possible casues?

Hi Guys, I am having an issue regarding my machine, see pic below....
Anyone any sugestions what the culprit could be? It did this just ideling, wasnt even using the machine, has done it once while encoding some MP4 movies, but that was barely half load, and again just sitting there.
The CPU wasnt under load, nor too hot, idleing at 42, im kinda confused what could be the cause
quick spec: Asus NF7S, Core2 6320 @ 3.2, 6GB OCZ Ram, Hyper 550W, Antec 1200 Vista 64.
