Popups everywhere help!?!?

I have been having ALOT of popups lately, NeXplore being the prominent one amoung many others. My computer is running very sllloowww. AVG is doing what it is supposed to I guess! I have read a lot of your forums and KNOW that you can help. Please PLEASE help! Were do I get the Hijackthis tool? and what are the steps for me to take?
