Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service - Windows 7

So I have ran into my first system crippling issue when it comes to Windows 7. Last night I decided to hook up my Media Center & Extender on my laptop to my Xbox 360. In that the process to make it all work was super easy and things just worked. But after about a few hours my laptop started to lock up. I ran into the other room to see that the system was using all 4GB of memory and was locking up because of it.

The process using all the memory is tied to Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service (wmpnetwk.exe) . I disabled the overall service to get my laptop to work again, but the problem is, even if my Xbox isn't grabbing data this process spikes to 100% usage of my memory randomly.

Not sure what I can do to fix this or what other data is needed to trouble shoot what the hell is going on. But let me know as my laptop has become useless now since it locks up with this service running.

System specs:

Intel Core 2 T8300
Memory: 4GB
260GB HD 7200RPM
Win 7 64bit

I did do basic virus checks etc.. and the system comes back clean.
