I'd like to set folding up so that it always runs on my laptop, except when the laptop is on batteries...anyone know what the best way would be?

Start -> control panel -> scheduled tasks ->add scheduled task. Select F@H and you probably want the "when computer starts up" option. Click ok, (new screen) check the advanced options button and hit Finish (awful UI eh?). You can add the switches for F@H now and then click the next panel and there's a default set "stop this task when battery mode runs." (I'm not sure if it will restart afterwards). That's probably the easiest way ... You can change the settings by going to Start-> Control Panel -> scheduled tasks -> right click and properties.

I just start and stop manually. I am such a cludge.
But my toshiba folds all of the time that it has power.

Another vote for manual. A simple way of doing it.
