Sure, features are nice, but what about bug fixes? I would much prefer that the earpiece not go out to lunch if I use my bose headphones to pause/start/stop my music. What bugs are being fixed?

If there are any bugs being fixed by the 2.1 update, they have not been specified by Motorola.

OTA FTW. Love my Droid. ^__^

I would be a bit peeved if they don't, especially if they don't fix this issue. Someone at Motorola should be aware of it, unless they don't read their own or Google's forums :

I rebooted my DROID but didn't get an automatic update...has anyone else tried this with success?

I'm excited about the enhancements, but when does DROID get Flash??? I need that more than Pinch-to-Zoom or 3D Galleries.

The update hasn't been deployed yet. You don't have to reboot the handset until the notification tray alerts you that an update is available. This indicates that it has been downloaded and is ready to install.

According to Adobe and Motorola, Flash is coming within the next 3 months.

I have problems recieving my hotmail (msn) emails...my other accounts work fine...this a bug?

Not likely. It's probably an issue with the way Hotmail handles its POP3/IMAP connections given that it's isolated to MSN alone.

    when will it drop

    I second the bugfix request!
I don't care about pinch-zoom at all, in fact, I don't want to have to use two hands to browse the web on my droid.
Come on google, stop trying to be like apple. Simply make the phone reliable and work the bugs out!!!!!

Users will continue to be able to double tap if they so desire.

you dont need two hands to pinch to zoom and this report seems fishy with yahoo email account on a google based/sponsered phone?

Google does not sponsor the Droid. Motorola has simply fixed an issue with adding Yahoo! accounts to the handset. Finally, these release notes are directly from Motorola.

Cant wait for the flashplayer, i am thinking of buying one after the update, will it come with 2.1? will the 2.1 update be available on the milestone in the uk?

guys, download the sholesmod updator from the market. You will never go back to stock Android again, and you won't be sitting around waiting any longer for all these features that have been available for Droid via sholesmod for over a month.

so I guess bluetooth hands free dialing is still not included?

I need the developers to add "SIGNATURES" to new email accounts (e.g. Yahoo!, Hotmail, Outlook, etc.). Why is this such a hard thing to get across the table. They made it easy to add a signature to gmail. I would think that a signature added to your Outlook is a little more important, considering IT'S MY JOB!!! HURRY THE "F" UP!!!

I would like to see spell check when you use the keyboard. I am very surprised that there is not a spell check for this phone... yes there is a auto-complete but that is NOT a spell check.

Also, why when syncing to a IMAP account there is no setting to update every 1 minute... why 5. Also, why can't you add a signature line to anything but a gmail account??? These are important updates for business users....

Anyone have any ideas when some of these these issues might be addressed?

Hi Roger, depending on your host you might be able to setup email signatures directly on the server.

Regarding IMAP, sending an IMAP request every 1 minute is problematic as it could overlap the last request and create errors.

If you need up to the minute emails (aka push) then I suggest you either use gmail or the K-9 Mail app you'll find in the market. K-9 also gives you email signatures.
