Question about Call of Pripyat
Can anyone who has already grabbed S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat answer a question for me?
If I install Call of Pripyat, will it add the engine enhancements to the original campaign (which I'm still working through)? For example, the release notes say that it ads the ability to sleep; would I be able to do that now, even if I'm not starting in on the new content yet?

This was the case with Clear Sky. The graphics engine was improved, but those improvements would not be applied to the original game.
I would love to see that implemented in the original game, but I think your only options are mods like Oblivion Lost or Float32.
Because of the way it was marketed on Steam, I thought CoP was an Expansion pack for SoC. I see now that it's a totally new and separate sequel, so of course it wont have an effect on the first game...
How do you like Shadow of Chernobyl, CB? I followed that game for years and was really excited to finally play it at its release. I was bummed, they removed a lot of the deeper RPG elements from the original game design, but I absolutely loved the atmosphere and visual style of the game. I love reading about the Chernobyl disaster, so to see it and Pripyat virtually was really awesome for me. I read that Call of Pripyat is supposed to be close to the true STALKER experience we were supposed to get out of SoC.
I'm actually thinking of getting the game, the price is very tempting even if I'm currently very busy with the Battlefield BC2 beta
