Windows 7, random sounds..virus?

Hello Icrontic! It's been a long time, but I'm back. Why? Cause I have a problem I couldn't solve by myself. :o
Every so often (could be a couple a couple seconds, to minutes or hours) my computer will play seemingly random sounds. I've heard a few different ones so far. One is a short clip of a female screaming, another is a man laughing (diabolically! ) and most common is a clip of some song from a guitar. There are no set intervals and I can't recreate this problem. My computer (old as it is) doesn't even slow down while the sounds play. Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Rick
