Basic drawing / cad application?

I'm looking to knock up some scale plans of a new piece of furniture/desk type thing. It's only 2d and all I really need is the ability to draw to scale and move stuff around a bit!

Any ideas? - I don't want some full blown CAD program with a massive learning curve etc, also Google sketchup seems odd with the whole 3d thing - which I don't need!

I've never used it but feature wise this should do the trick
    Bluecad

Mostly I just fiddle with 3d renders though using sketchup or blender.

Cheers Kryyst, I had a go and it seems you's still need some basic cad knowledge to get it working properly, looks like an oldskool version of Auto CAD but stripped down. I ended up giving Inkscape a go, that was very easy to use, but too far the other way - i.e. dtp.

To be honest, I know what I want and I know how I want it to look so I think an even more oldskool sketch with a good old pencil will do the trick this time! If I want to go to town I've got my drawing board somewhere lol.

SketchUp is really solid when you get used to it, however it sounds like Sweet Home 3D or AutoCAD Freestyle. I found both programs only a couple of days ago and haven't had a chance to try them yet but they both look great.

Thanks Chris, whilst I don't think it's necessary for me to produce this any more I'm going to give both applications a go :D
