windows 7 & windows 98se cd issues

how do I get to a cd formatted under win7 so that win98se can read the disc?

am I missing a step?

    CD's generally use a standard format that can be read from both OS's. I'm not sure I understand why you are asking.

    I formatted a cd disc under win7, but win98se can't read it for some reason.

    It was formatted as a mega floppy disk.

    Windows 98 does not support this type of CD.

    when burning the disk have select the option to have it act like a thumb drive may work thum drives use fat32. the key is fat 32

    I must have missed the class that taught about CD's using FAT32 file systems. We are not talking about FAT or NTFS file systems.
    ISO 9660, also referred to as CDFS (Compact Disc File System)

    very good I stand corrected, but check out the options of burning a cd with windows 7, not formating it.
