Sync Thunderbird Contacts with Yahoo Mail

does anyone know of a plug in that will do this? It seems like it should be straight forward as Windows Mail does via POP3 without needing to be asked and Facebook can look and invite people from your contacts (although I know that isn't two way connectivity)

I have just started using Thunderbird an I have been really impressed but this is really bugging me!

Thanks

Maybe Plaxo? I know they'll do Yahoo, but I'm not sure if they've upgrade their plugin for the latest Thunderbird yet.

The only solution I've been able to find is using Plaxo to sync from Yahoo to GMail then use the built in GMail support to sync Tbird to GMail. Yahoo's documentation only shows how to do a one time import of your contacts which leads me to believe there isn't really an true way to sync your contacts.

yeah I have seen these but cant get them to work. The plaxo ad on wont install on Thunderbird 3 as I keep getting an error message about secure updates. I tried syncing yahoo with gmail but I cant add my gmail contacts to my plaxo sync list. I can only add google caledar.

The frustraiting thing is that Windows Mail syncs without me even asking it to! But the rest of the app is crap. Facebook can also lookup contact info so it must be possible to get the data in and out it just appears that the people at Mozilla haven't done it yet.

Rich, it's super easy to disable the add-on secure updates requirement, I think it requires a single boolean change in about:config. Google it. However, it still may be incompatible with Thunderbird 3.

OK, I have disabled that but it is now not compatable. I have found that this can be disabled but presumably if it is not compatable then it wont work and it will probably screw my system up?

I was about to ask you why you're using beta software... I didn't realize that Thunderbird 3 has actually (finally) been released. Nice. I guess the only thing you can do is wait for plaxo to hopefully update their plugin to working with TB3
