MicroProse shut down
A sad day to see one another of the longest standing game developers leaving the scene.
[blockquote]One of the UK's longest standing games developers, MicroProse, has been shut down, according to a source at the company.
The development studio, which had only recently completed its number-one hit game Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 4, has been closed down by its parent company Infogrames.
The news brings to an end an illustrious 20 years for MicroProse, which can boast such titles as the Civilization series, B-17 Flying Fortress, Worms Armageddon and Gunship.[/blockquote]

I liked Master of Orion back in the day, also.
Oh and Grand Prix 1 + 2 were the first ever PC games I bought, sad to see MicroProse go.
I remember playing B-17 flying fortress and Microprose Gunship for hours when I was a kid.
