Rightmark CPU Clock Issues

Okay, so I have a Acer-Aspire 6920G and I recently installed 7 professional 64 bit. One of the issues with my computer that I have had across all the previous OSes (Vista, 7 RC, and now 7) is that there is a heating issue that causes the processor to think that it is overheating so it throttles performance. The way I would deal with it when I was running vista and 7 RC was I would have Rightmark CPU Clock running, and whenever I would notice a performance slow down, I would turn on the throttling option (in the CPU clock), then turn it off immediately and the throttling would stop. The problem now is that the CPU clock will not run. When I run it, I get the error "Cannot install or load RTCore64 driver. Make sure you're loading this application from not a read-only medium and/or a network drive, and that you're logged on with Administrator rights". I downloaded it directly to my harddrive from the website so it is not read only and I have admin rights. I need this software to run otherwise my computer becomes almost unusable. Does anyone know how to fix this or know any other software that will do the same thing?

But, more importantly, have you tried simply turning CPU throttling off in the BIOS?
