    Bummer indeed. We used to have a member of the Newegg support team that was a member of the forum, did we not? Too bad we fell off their radar.

    I love that a 'demo unit' is comprised of mostly cardboard and foam.

    Demo boxes often contain less than that. That there was even an attempt at visual tomfoolery pushes it more away from demo boxes and more towards flat-out counterfeit - which is the conclusion at which Newegg arrived.

    So I've done some digging...

    Looks like "IPEX" is known as "IPEX infotech, Inc." and their so-called website is "www.ipexinfo.com" which is registered by/to Asia Source Inc.

    The address for Asia Source Inc. just a few blocks from Ipex Info, Inc.

    Hmmmmm... this is looking very suspicious...
    1.) Counterfeit CPUs
    2.) Non existing website
    3.) Website registered to/by another company
    4.) Ipex Info and Asia Source appear to have close ties to China...
    5.) Ipex Info appears to be a front with empty office
    6.) Asia appears to be a front with empty office
    7.) All contacts are mainly Chinese

    All these factors are pointing in one direction...Chinese + Offshore + China...

    Dude...all these are looking like scam from China.
