It's a brand new system, and Asus is working on getting it to distributors. I preordered one last month and expect to have it sometime in April. Immediately after it arrives I will put together a review.
In the mean time, this is the best price I've seen on the A1 model...even beats Newegg's pricing on the A2 and X1 variants.
If you go that route you will definitely:
1. Pay way too much for the laptop (Alienware/Dell is notorious for having overpriced equipment).
2. Still be missing DX11.
3. Have a laptop with a rebranded 200 series which was rebranded from the 9000 series which was rebranded from the 8000 series. In other words, about a three year old GPU with little to no improvement over its predecessors.
If you can hold off on the purchase, the Asus laptop will provide a far superior gaming experience at a much lower price.
I couldn't find it on their web site. Which model is it? I've seen a G73JH-A1, A2, and X1. The A1 and A2 differ in their optical drive - the A1 has a Blu-Ray drive while the A2 sticks with DVD-RW. The X1 seems to only have a single 500GB hard drive (the other two have 2x500GB 7200RPM).
