I knew it could be done and of course from the minds of our Short-Media forum members...comes PC case design on a budget. (Personally...I think they did a better job than some of the cases I've worked with.

The cutting edge of case design never fails to amaze. Journey with us as the pc gets "boxed" up ghetto style....cardboard box that is.

Check this ghetto case out!

I have run machines in cardboard boxes before, but the access to the floppy and CD is great. And the inner box for a tray is real clever. Maybe next time you should use an empty PC case box just for effect.
Tape the top closed, add a couple of hand holds, mark it 'fagile' and 'this end up' and you will have fine LANparty box!!!!!

The PCI card is too tall for the top to close, otherwise I bet he would have closed it.

Yeah it is amazing what you can do with a few old computer parts and a heaping helping of bordom. It seriously was fun to build though. I think I am going to try and turn it into a ventrillo server. heh heh. It is perched upon some shelving over looking my main rig right now. Such a beast...

Yeah Ed, the CD-ROM is probably my favorite part. It took me about 2 hours just to get it in place but it was well worth it. We are starting to come to an understanding now though. I only have to hit it 50% of the time now to get it to open. :) Yeah mmonnin is right. The video card sticks up or else I'd prolly shut the box up. I might cut some more holes later but for now I kinda enjoy being able to look down in it. Oh even though I didn't use an actualy computer case box to do it in the boxes I did use are kind of my own little tribute to my employer FedEx... Yeah that is a load of crap but anyhoo I'm glad ya all like the case.
