Mystery of the missing config.sys

I have Windows XP. I wanted to run config.sys but
got error messages not identifying it. Did a file search
and nothing shows. I may well be unaware of something
but it seems to me I have done this in the distant past
and should be able to do it now.

    what do you mean you want to run config.sys - you can't run config.sys. But if you want to use it just create it at c:\
