"trimming back the 4K random read IOPS to 10,000"

Is this correct? 4K to 10K. This looks to be adding not trimming back.

4K random reads is the standard way to refer to hard drive reads that are approximately 4KB in size, the overwhelmingly common disk transaction size for Windows. IOPS is I/O operations per second. In other words, the Agility 2 can perform 10,000 4KB reads per second randomly located around the disk.

Ahh - OK. Thanks for clearing that up.

So the 10,000 was the result of trimming back from 50,000.
