PC World sent me an email, the folks who did Capt. Nemo have done a data recovery program set, comprised of GetDataBack and HDhost. GetDataBack comes in two forms, one for FAT and one for NTFS. It is at version 2.22 right now.

Might want to check it out.... I will be trying it as have opportunities, but have not yet done so.

It comes as trials also, but I do not know if the trials are fully functional yet. Direct download gets you a trial and buy gets an unlock/license code.

Trial version allows you to see that it does in fact recover files; but you can't back them up.
