Any good free AV programs left?

I have to install an anti-virus program on an older PC. Not really a big security concern but I would like a decent free app if any are available. Any suggestions?

    Avira is the single most effective anti-virus application in the world, as tested by AV-Comparatives, the world's most thorough AV testing body.

    Maximum PC just did a write up on AV programs. Of the free ones here are the ratings:

    Overall Rating:
    MSE = 8
    Avira = 6

    Boot Time Increase:
    MSE = +9
    Avira = +6

    Scan Time (min):
    MSE = 16
    Avira = 4

    PCMark Score:
    MSE = 5600
    Avira = 6100

    So everything points to Avira except for Maximum PC's rating.

    Just to drive the point home, here is an article showing Avira's third consecutive win in AV-Comparatives' testing. AV-C uses 1.6 million virus samples to test the efficacy of an AV suite's effectiveness against both known and unknown virus strains.
