Help a noob, please :) My server is being overloaded
I picked up a virus recently, which was repaired (in theory) by a local computer tech. I normally am smart enough to avoid them, but perfect timing happened. I was shipping something through UPS for my business and tracing it, and got the UPS.COM e-mail an hour later, so... you know the rest. I'm only telling this so you may have a sense of what type of virus it likely is. The tech said the computer was fine, but within the next few days I tried sending out e-mails, and have been getting failure messages about having too many e-mails per hour (500+). The guy whose server I run off is a friend, and he has had some disruptions as well. I assume my computer or e-mail has been hijacked, and don't want to screw up my friends server. And I am a noob, so I know just enough to be dangerous. What's the likely scenario? Is it still within my computer, or have I exported the problem to my friend's server?
