I just tried to upload an attachment (no biggie, I posted a link instead) that was 788Kb. It told me it was too large. I thought 2MB was the limit, am I wrong? :eek3:

2MB for all 5. So like 400kb or something.

Edit: 488.3kb. Its in the pic.

that's ghey... would be better if it was 2mb for all but can be 2mb individually.

I agree. I can understand not wanting a total of 10MB, should one use five attachments. But what's the difference between one 2MB or five 400Kb attachments?

Maybe it's time for another "let's pick on Shorty" thread... :vimp::D;D

I doubt it's that shorty set it up that way, rather that he didn't set it up so that it wasn't that way...

A sin of omission, then. This can be his wake-up call. :vimp:

That was the intended size. We have to backup the attachments folder several times a week.. and it's nearly a gig already

Use WinRAR to span it across multiple files and upload those :)

That's a good idea, Env. In the case of the file I was trying to upload, it was just as well to link to its web page.

I still don't see the difference between 1 X 2MB and 5 X 400K. Probably has something to do with my old man teaching Math for 50 years...

    1 Megabyte (MB) = 1,024 Kilobyte (KB)
    2 Megabyte (MB) = 2,048 Kilobyte (KB)

    5 x 488.3 kb files = 2441.5 kb

    2441.5 Kilobyte (KB) = 2.3842773 Megabyte (MB)

You are over the 2 MB limit.

Just to be clear, I'm not complaining. I was just confused. (What else is new... )

When I saw the 2MB max I figured that was the per-post limit. I can certainly live with 488.3Kb per-attachment (though that does seem an odd number).

I don't even know where my pitchfork is at the moment...

...probably left it in my ex-wife...
