Blizzard Entertainment’s CEO and co-founder, Mike Morhaime, had this to say of the pending release:
<O:p“We’ve been looking forward to revisiting the StarCraft universe for many years, and we’re excited that the time for that is almost here. Thanks to our beta testers, we’re making great progress on the final stages of development, and we’ll be ready to welcome players all over the world to StarCraft II and the new Battle.net® in just a few months.
Prepare yourselves for war, because the Zerg rushes begin in just two short months.
I was just thinking, in the next 3 months, Blizzard is going to have to burn MILLIONS of SC2 DVDs, probably 8-10 million, and have them already to go, so development will probably end in the next month or so to have a final release version ready. Then they can start working on patches.
