D-link WBR 2310 speed issue

edited May 2010 in Science & Tech
i found this site searching the web for an answer to a (maybe stupid) question.

i have a D-link WBR-2310 RangeBooster G Router.

from what i understand the max speed in mbps that it is rated for is 108mbps.

for some reason i cant get it to run faster then 54mbps. (the network connection status window shows me this)

my question is, how do i get the router to run at the max (108mbps) speed that it stats it can run at?

thanks in advance for the help (sorry if this is a stupid question):respect:

Your network card also needs to be a 108Mbps card, and it needs to be D-Link as well. A company called Broadcom invented the 108 extension to 802.11g, but every company has their own implementation.
